Grid Design - Web hosting, website design and website maintenance

About Grid Design - Web hosting, web design and web maintenance

Grid Design prides itself on having superior customer service. You never have to deal with outsourced technical support people faking an American accent. You don't have to deal with a complex voice-mail system where there never seems to be a real person working.

If you are tired of getting excuses, putting up with delays and having to deal with ever-shuffling personnel, send us an e-mail. We'll be glad to answer your questions and help you out.

Client Listing

Below is a partial listing of clients that Grid Design has worked with. Why only a partial listing? Unfortunately many of our clients did not survive during the “dot-com” implosion of the late 90s. Many others have hired Grid Design on a contract-basis during emergencies, when critical work had to be done. (And some of these clients have become regulars after experiencing our customer support.)

Kauffman Associates

Specializing in bond compliance management, Kauffman Associates wanted a website to promote their services.

The site needed to be launched quickly and within tight budget constraints. It was done.

The site was hand-written in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.

Alliance Air Quality Services

Working in hot, tight spaces, Alliance Air Quality Services needed a website to tell potential clients about their range of services.

The site was hand-written in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.

The Carlson Company

A company that specializes in professional service equipment, The Carlson Company desired a colorful, accessible website to show off their product line.

In addition to the normal site content, the site needed to have a document library that was easily accessible.

The site was hand-written in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.

Willbanks Metals, Inc.

Any business with its own rail line running through it is big business. Willbanks Metals is one of the largest steel fab plants in the Southwest. When they needed a web site they turned to Grid Design.

One of the challenges was turning a data-packed metal specifications guide into an online database. And to improve on the printed version, the online metal specs guide needed to convert all English measurements into metric. Another challenge was taking the current request for quotes system and bringing it online as well.

The site uses hand-written XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.

SellHorseProperties

When it is time to search for or to sell a horse property or equine-related piece of real estate, SellHorseProperties has it.

The site incorporates Geodesic Solutions GeoClassifieds Enterprise Edition, heavily customized with PHP, CSS and XHTML modifications.

Waddell Chiropractic

Waddell Chiropractic's site was dark, dreary and had outdated information. A new site was needed that was easy on the eyes and had lots of the latest information.

In addition, the site needed the capability to expand with the doctor's practice, adding new sections as needed.

All code was hand-written in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.

Paul Miller Custom Pools

The client needed a site to showcase his pools, with the ability to add/delete/modify photographs.

The site has an administrative back-end that allows Paul Miller Custom Pools complete control over the display of their photographs.

The site was developed in standards-compliant XHTML and CSS.

Ross King Company

After suffering with a slow-loading website that often failed to load pages, the Ross King Company contacted Grid Design for a new website.

It was important to provide a wealth of information to clients concerning the planning, design and purchase of handmade pipe organs. The site had to incorporate old manuals as well as new text and combine both in a seamless manner.

The site uses hand-written, standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.

Divison 1A Athletics

If you like NCAA football chances are that one of the games you're watching was scheduled on D-1A.com.

D-1A wanted a web site that would allow coaches and athletic assistants from around the country to schedule football games. They also wanted to schedule annual meetings and other functions. And they wanted to control the content of several pages without having to learn ANY coding or HTML.

The site that visitors see is only half of the entire web site; the adminstrative portion is gigantic, complete with its on online help system. With a secure log-on for coaches and athletic assistants, the site allows the game to be on!

The site uses hand-written, standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.

ERA Dallas/Fort Worth

Disgruntled with a web design firm that had failed to produce a working web site after five months, ERA DFW turned to griddesign.

They needed a site that would use content from Era.com, allow for future expansion and have a clean interface. And they didn't want to pay a lot.

In one week the site was online and fully functioning.

The site uses XHTML, CSS and PHP.

Eagle-Phillips Associates, LLC.

To promote a new business, Eagle-Phillips Associates turned to griddesign. They need a site that would be expandable and could load content from other web sites. And it had to be affordable.

Given a single black-and-white graphic, griddesign created a web presence for Eagle-Phillips Associates.

This site uses XHTML,CSS,PHP and content-negotiation via a custom Apache server configuration.

One Source Equipment

Selling heavy equipment online was the goal of One Source Equipment's new website.

The owner needed an administrative backend allowing him to post, edit and delete equipment listings. He also needed a site that was search-engine friendly.

The site uses hand-written, standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP-OOP and MySQL.

Fun-N-Cuts

Cutting children's hair is not all fun and games for the parents. But Fun-N-Cuts wanted to change that. To introduce their concept, they turned to griddesign for a web site.

With an extensive administrative backend, the site allows Fun-N-Cuts to maintain e-mail lists, send mailings and run contests. Every aspect of the contest is completely owner-controlled. The site was designed to be kid-friendly, using the same colors found in the salon.

One request of Fun-N-Cuts was a coupon section. They needed to be able to create custom coupons, have them individually and uniquely numbered and printable. The software created by griddesign allows all of this and more. It permits the future addition of barcodes to tie into the POS system installed at the salon. An extensive administrative interface allows Fun-N-Cuts to create categories of coupons, as well as enabling or disabling them at will.

The site uses hand-written, standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP-OOP and MySQL.
